sword tangling, bell jangling, handkerchief waving part three

The last day of the festival, and the dancing was everywhere, down the main high street
and even in the ford!!..........
Darkness came and the torchlight procession started down Peak Hill towards the sea......

The beautiful lanterns were carried onto the pebbles.........

Down to the waters edge........................

Where they were extinguished in the sea...another folk festival over.....

And everyone celebrated with fireworks x

Till next year!! x x x x

  1. It looks like great fun, my uncle and aunt go every year, he is a morris dancer and she is also a dancer in one of the ladies groups.
