My Pink and Blue Kitchen

Thought I would show you my lickel kitchen....she is very small and very annoying as she is full of doors...5 in total....but I do love her.....I always wanted a pink and blue kitchen.......and now I have one!!!!
I saw this on Pinterest and I whole heartedly agree....my house and it's contents are  ongoing , ever changing and evolving .....I buy nothing new....even my range cooker was from an auction.....
Everything I own is pre-owned....found...discovered...up-cycled.....
Although this wall paper in an alcove is brand new lol!

I love accumulating things that other people have used and loved......and giving them a new lease of life.....
It's become a way of life for me now.......
I don't even think about things matching...if I love it and it makes my heart beat a little faster then I know once they are all thrown together it will match......
This tea pot didn't have a lid..buy its a very useful utensil holder......and a beautiful one at that!
My £2.00 mug cupboard frees up precious space...a quick lick of chalkboard  paint and a new rosie handle and it was perfect....
Yes, believe it or not I do have mugs!
Pretty floral china ones.....
And keep calm, Union Jack ones....
My daughter bought me this double sided clock from a boot sale and gave it to me one Christmas....I love it and could not appreciate it more if it had come from the most expensive  department store in the land ....
I have a display of vintage plates rescued from the tip.....
This bread bin and shakers are my latest find....
I love this Black tin tray it has fold down legs and although its battered and scratched,,,its used for breakfast in bed and as a makeshift snack tray for my toddler grandaughters and I cannot bear to hide it in a cupboard.
I love my red trivet, the blue bowl where I keep my eggs and even the cover of my retro Kenwood mixer 30 years old and still going strong.
People love cooking in my cheerful little kitchen....
I just wonder what I will find next..........

  3. Sounds completely my sort of thing. Although we have now gone more pale french shabby chic elsewhere my kitchen will always be the place where my collections of pretty stuff are displayed. Like you most of them repurposed and better for their lived in look!. I love your pink and blue, very cheery.

  5. I really love the combination! It made your kitchen lively and cheerful! And you don’t have to worry about temperature because the color will definitely make the space appear less warm. ^_^
