Learning to crochet...my granny square scarf

Well its official....I am hooked on crochet!......
And I love granny squares most of all......

I was given a few balls of wool in these lovely muted tones and decided to use them to make a granny square scarf,,,,,,
And here it is...the first thing I have crocheted...that I actually like enough to actually wear...
I taught myself the edging from an Internet tutorial .........

My grandaughter Esme likes it too x x x

Its lovely and long and winds around my neck twice and keeps me very warm
I was very pleased with it until a lady came into knitting club with one she had made......
I was so consumed with envy I almost did away with her just so I appropriate her teeny weeny granny square scarf...I am soooo going to make one like this x x x

I tell everyone its for the creative and inspiring atmosphere.....
But really its because of the home made cakes...........
This week I had the most divine almond raspberry meringue.....
But I am really hooked on crochet...here are some little bows I have made for Esme and Patience's hair....I am searching for my next project and am so excited........see you soon x x x
