Saturday Afternoon Tea

Does this post need words?.........

I think not......just an arh and a sigh!

My First Jumble Sale For Twenty Years........

Oh my days...went to my first jumble sale for twenty years today....queued up out side all nice and genteel joking about 40 million pound vases. But when the door opened it was like a rugby scrum free for all......I had to half nelson a pensioner to get this beautiful cup!!! She practically tried to tear it out of my hands!!!

It was all taped up upside down on the saucer and when I got it home I had a lovely surprise....
This months name....I am having a cup of tea in it in a minute!

I bought these lovely padded coathangers.........
A lovely gingham tablecloth.......
And a set of retro 1970's Christmas lights.....
The Hubster was very pleased with his purchase of binoculars and a length of apparently very good quality rope.....bless x
I quite enjoyed the experience and will be looking for a few more to go to but putting my shin guards and elbow pads on......

Don't forget to enter my November give away peeps x x x

More presents!

Aren't people kind......I have had lots of presents over the week.....
My neighbour came over with a beautiful bunch of flowers..........

This butterfly was amongst the flowers......
Mother was down to help me out......she found these two miniature cake stands in the charity shop
They were a wonderful surprise and really cheered me up!!!!
Mother also bought me back this beautiful bottle of rose syrup!!! so far I have tipped it over some ice-cream ....delish!!!
Look at the beautiful colour x
Another present off of my friend...some photo frame fridge magnets...
A china handled bottle opener from my grandsons.....

Mother also got me 12 golden baubles for my bling Christmas tree, I have two each year......
My living room tree is red and gold and I have over 300 baubles and counting......it takes me one and a half hours just to hang the baubles. I liked these little bags, there were five of them ...good for chocolates, sweets or little presents to hang in the tree.
all these golden goodies were a pound in the charity shop.......
This little beaded Christmas wreath was purchased from the Mooncake Festival by mother on her recent trip to Borneo.
And last but not least...a belated birthday pressie from my son and partner..this wonderful tea pot.......
Shall I be mother??????

Many thanks to all those who have sent me lovely messages.............
I still have two painful hands, only now I have one I can't use at all! But things have to get worse before they get better!!! My backslap is taken off at the end of this week(thank heaven as it is soo itchy!)....then I have to have a splint....stitches out in two weeks........
And with physio I should have a normal hand in six weeks.....then it's on to my right hand which is always a bit more difficult as I am right handed and really will be useless for a couple of weeks!!! As it is I feel as much use as a chocolate teapot! Hubster has to cut up my dinners, butter my toast and tie my shoelaces!!!AND I get told off like a naughty school girl if I go to do anything!!! Oh well I have kept you all long enough....it's certainly taken me a lot longer to type one handed...see you all soon!!!
And please don't forget to leave a comment under my latest giveaway post if you would like the goodies I have selected x x

A little bit more treasure and a rest....

Found a few little things yesterday on my travels... This beautiful framed print...from the 30's or 40's i I think...the blue colour scheme will go perfectly with the duck egg blue of my hall walls.. and I love the coastal theme.....
A tea strainer....some fish serving thingys (correct me if I am wrong please!)
And two little cake forks...I just can't wait to have some cake now!!!

There may be a slight intermission....I am off to the hospital for my operation tomorrow and I may not survive two or more weeks of my husbands cooking in the aftermath........Thank you for all the kind words you have given me. If you see me soon I will be typing away one handed!!!

Please don't forget to leave a comment for my November giveaway! Or look for Crimbo pressies at Sidmouth Poppy Treasures .

See you soon friends and your lovely blogs will keep me occupied as I recover x x x x

Five minuite pressie made for pennies!!!

Went treasure hunting today and found these two little box frames....I quickly paid for them and ran home with my mind buzzing!!! I go in for my hand op on Friday so I have very little time to make anything for Christmas pressies.

The other half took out the staples for me and then it was a five minute job of glueing stuff!
The scrabble tiles I already had hanging around and I used some Cath Kidston notepaper and envelopes I had for my birthday pressy.
What do you think? they cost less than a pound! A present for my little grandaughter and one of my friends x x x sorry for the bad quality of the pictures!!! They look much better in the flesh so to say!!!
