hi julie...i always use a basic vicky sponge mixture and add whatever flavourings....this week i added a head of lavender finely chopped and two dessert apples chopped....i then made the lavender icing but that would be quite hard to recreate as i thought chopping lavender seeds and using them would be too pungent ..like biting on a pepper corn ...so i made the glace icing with my crab apple and lavender jelly x hope thats helped x x
ReplyDeleteThank you I'll try that. I make ginger cake the same way by adding 1 to 2 teaspoons ground ginger , and sandwich it together with butter cream icing with finely chopped glace ginger which I washed boiling water and well drained.
