It's almost like summer!

Have you been enjoying this lovely weather???
We have got the garden furniture out and had the first tea in the garden, of the year.

Beautiful tea cups in the sunshine....who could feel sad!
My daughter Poppy and I sit with a tray of pretty tea cups and pot every afternoon when she arrives home from school and discuss her school day........
It actually encourages her to talk about her day instead of just grunting something incomprehensible....and disappearing into her bedroom, and i look forward to our little chats.
This morning she bounced out of bed and decided it was bacon sarnies all around....we had no bread so she walked over the shop and then proceeded to make me the above tea tray and a bacon sarnie while dancing the running man and singing at the top of her voice in one of my pretty flowery aprons...all without any prompting.......where did I go wrong?????LOL!

The warm weather has also made me dust of my old faithful bike......
And cycle down to the front to spend a few sunny afternoons on the beach.

It' wonderful to live by the sea .

Till next time friends x

Spring x

Sorry about the slow down in posts...life has been getting in the way. My remaining hand has been soooo bad lately its as much as I can do to get through the day without bursting into tears...let alone make anything....its wearing me down and getting extremely BORING!!!!!!!!
My eldest daughter Madison asked me to go and visit her for a week so she could tidy every cupboard and surface of her house, and so that every item of baby equipment could be scrubbed, washed and brushed to within an inch of its life ,ready for the new baby!! But basically all I had to do was sit and play with my grand daughter Esme for a week, while Madison worked away undistracted. Esme had great fun introducing me to all the programs on Toddler Tv!

And we sang lots and lots of songs.....with The Wheels On the Bus and Head, Shoulder , Knees and Toes being the favorites. I also managed to visit all the other cheeky monkeys(grandsons) while I was away.
We are all looking forward to the new addition to the family arriving around the 16th of this month. Madison wants another Victorian name to go with Esme and so far Patience is the front front runner , which I adore!!! With Phaerie Mae as a second name....Phaerie was a name I saw on an old headstone in our old village church yard and I always used to tell the children that real fairies were buried there!!
Went for a stroll around one of my favorite towns in the area....Lyme Regis....Where i saw the above sign that made me chuckle. Its such a lovely town, I especially love the beach huts, painted in ice cream colours.....
And nearly died when I saw the inside of one of them.....
I almost asked the woman if I could move in!!!!

Got lots of wonderful Mothers day pressies....this wonderful crinoline lady tablecloth,
Hearts were a recurring theme....

And a lovely sachet and post card to make lashings of ginger beer!!!!!!
Hubby and Poppy always get me a season ticket from the deckchair man on the prom at Sidmouth and I can't think of a better present!
And I still have presents to come and a few I forgot to photograph! Thats one of the advantage of having 4 children......lots of pressies!! x x
Poppy picked out my china and made a bacon sarnie for me for my mother's day breakfast.............

The teapot and cup being previous presents from my children,
This is the present I made my mother.....Violets are her favorite flower so.....................
I found a violet cup and saucer and planted some wild violets from my garden in it.
She loved it........and when the violets have finished flowering on her windowsill she is planting them in her garden, and adding the cup to her violet china collection.
Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day x and talk soon x
